Dr Emily Hale

DClinPsych

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Hale completed her clinical training at the University of Exeter and has worked in both NHS and private child mental health services for 10 years.

Emily understands that the decision to have an assessment with a mental health professional or to begin therapy can be a nerve-wracking experience for the whole family. She offers a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment in which to make sense of difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Dr Hale works collaboratively with young people and family’s using approaches backed by scientific research to reduce psychological distress and improve quality of life. She is experienced in the assessment of neurodevelopmental conditions, cognitive (learning) difficulties and mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self-esteem difficulties, phobias, Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Recognizing that there is not a  “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, Dr Hale uses an integrative approach tailoring therapy for individual needs and preferences. Dr Hale is registered as a clinical psychologist with the HCPC.
